The world of Velasia is dying. Of all the races that once were, only dragons and men remain.

Dragons, being the only magical race left and living safely far to the west across the Thousand Peaks, still thrive, the magical essence in their blood keeping them sustained all these years. Humans, in their ingenuity, have gradually risen in power, now occupying the vast majority of the eastern lands.

In their thousand year feud with the dragons, peace has prevailed for nearly 100 years. But like all alliances, the ties that bind it are but fragile threads.

A small Order of humans, known to the world as Dragonbloods, has long stood as the primary defense preventing the ancient dragons' return. It is they who watch the borders and ensure the fragile truce is kept.

Though small, the Order boasts some of the fiercest warriors the world has ever seen. The very power of the dragons own magic flows through their veins. By consuming dragon blood, a select few can become faster, stronger, and in rare cases, even imbued with magical abilities, making them formidable adversaries.

Though peace remains, all is not well. Magic fades, the world crumbles. Vengeful eyes look east once more. And deeper still, something else waits patiently in the shadows.
